UPDATE ON NCCU vs. UCLA TRAVEL PACKAGES 

The response to the travel packages has been overwhelming - we love NCCU! Thank you so much for sending along the comments about the travel packages offered to support the NCCU vs. UCLA football game (September 16, 2023 in Pasadena, CA).  Here are a few updates:

• double occupancy rates have been added to each travel option
• the LAX-CLT flight information is accurate, despite the typo (this will be corrected!).  Those supporters who want a travel package from Charlotte, NC to Los Angeles, CA are encouraged to book quickly. 
• if you do not see your city (we have been asked to add NY).  We will only add an additional city if there is at least 15-20 people interested.  Please reach out if so we know you're interested.  We're tracking information.  
• we are exploring other flight options from BWI.  The current option requires a four (4) night hotel commitment (Wednesday, September 13, 2023 - Sunday, September 17, 2023).  This travel itinerary was booked because the flight arrives at 4:35pm in the afternoon each day.  This is too late for the traveler to participate in the planned Thursday, September 14, 2023 welcome reception.

• travel bookings are available until June 1, 2023

• final payments are anticipated to be due by July 14, 2023 (60 days before the event)

Please join the NCCU Alumni Association as we support our MEAC football champion NCCU "Eagles" as they play the UCLA Bruins in the Rose Bowl stadium in Pasadena, CA on Saturday, September 16, 2023 ( game time to be determined).

Planning is underway for an action packed weekend to engage alumni, support the students, and watch the big game. Anticipated/planned activities begin on Thursday, September 14, 2023 with a welcome reception, followed by Community Day activities and a Gatsby-themed scholarship fundraiser on on Friday, September 15.  Depending on the game time, a Saturday event may be held. 

For your convenience, travel packages (airfare, hotel, transportation from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to the stadium) are offered from four (4) cities: Baltimore/Washington, MD; Charlotte, NC; Raleigh/Durham, NC; and Atlanta, GA. 

The host hotel for the weekend is the Omni Los Angeles.
