Come celebrate with University Officials, Alumni and Special Guests as we turn kick off the weekend. This event will be sponsored by the NCCU Office of Alumni Relations and the NCCU Alumni Association Friday, September 15, 2023 - HBCU Community Day and Block Party – Obama Sports Complex
- College Fair – 9 am- 12 pm
- Community Day – 5 pm - 6 pm
- HBCU Block Party – 6 pm - 8 pm
This community day is a two-fold celebration and educational opportunity to acknowledge the importance of Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Come meet with admissions counselors, representatives from the University, hear the NCCU Sound Machine, Champagne (NCCU Cheerleaders), NCCU Alumni Association President/Leadership, food trucks, music, and more. This event is sponsored by HBCU Curates and the City of Los Angeles. - The Great Gatsby Party – sponsored by the NCCU California Alumni Chapter - 8:30 pm
The Great Gatsby Party is a one night only HBCU reunion full of fun, music, drinks, food, and more! The California NCCU Alumni Chapter will host NCCU Eagles, extended Eagle family and friends in LA. The attire for the evening is Gatsby-themed or cocktail attire at the Omni Los Angeles Hotel, 251 S. Olive Street Los Angeles, CA Saturday, September 16, 2023 - Transportation from Hotel to the Rose Bowl Stadium (Pasadena, CA)
- Transportation services anticipated to be available from 11:30am – 6:30pm
- Patrons will be picked up from either the Omni Los Angeles, the Westin Bonaventure or the Hilton Pasadena hotel
- TICKETS: NCCU vs. UCLA at the Rose Bowl Stadium (Pasadena, CA) – 2pm (PST)
- We anticipate selling tickets for purchase in late July 2023
- Prices estimated to be:
- $250-$100 – general admission/reserved seating
- $150-$250 – club level seats (refreshments and non alcoholic beverages included)
- $6,000 - $10,000 – suite (excluding food and beverage, holds between 6-30 people)
- A customized website will be available and patrons can purchase up to eight (8) tickets
- Supporters will be asked to either:
- Add $5 to their ticket purchase to help bring a California student to the game
- Purchase an additional ticket and donate it for a California student to attend the game
- Detailed instructions about these options will be available once football tickets become available for sale
- Bourbon Tasting Experience – Hilton Pasadena Hotel – Pasadena, CA 8:00 pm
Join us after the game for hor d’oeuvres and whiskey tastings hosted by Ms. Jade Fuller, reigning Ms. NCCU Alumni 2023. Tickets will be on sale by August 1. This event is sponsored by Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey. Sunday, September 17, 2023 - Transportation from Hotel to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)
- Patrons who scheduled and paid for the NCCU Alumni Association (NCCUAA) transportation package will be picked up at their hotel (i.e., Omni Los Angeles, Westin Bonaventure and Hilton Pasadena) and driven to LAX
- At this time, pickups will begin at 3 am (PST) and will conclude once the last patron is taken to the airport
Transportation from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to Hotel - Patrons who scheduled and paid for the NCCU Alumni Association (NCCUAA) transportation package will be picked up at LAX and driven to one of three hotels:
- Omni Los Angeles, 251 S. Olive Street, Los Angeles, CA
- The Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites, 404 S. Figueroa Street, Los Angeles CA
- The Hilton Pasadena Hotel, 168 S. Los Robles Ave., Pasadena, CA
- Transportation services available from approximately 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Cost is $35 per day ($105 for all three days) and services are available on September 14, September 16 and September 17

Hotels Rooms - The NCCUAA has contracted with the Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites (connected to the Omni Los Angeles by a bridge – 5-10 minute walk) to secure an additional 10 rooms
- $219 per night – single/double; $239 per night – triple; $259 per night - quad
